Block Exemption Regulation 14002002 came into force in October 2003, this is a European legislation that allows Land Rover owners the freedom to have there vehicle serviced and repaired away from the main dealer network without invalidating the manufacturers warranty as long as the service is carried out to the manufacturers specification and Original Equipment (OE) ‘Matching Quality’ parts are used.
What to expect from your Service
ALL Land Rover services at Essex 4×4 Ltd are carried out to the manufacturer’s specification, and we shall provide you with your Land Rover Maintenance check sheet completed by your technician, so you can see what has been checked and/or replaced on your vehicle.
As your Land Rover is an exceptional vehicle it requires specialist attention, that is why each year your Land Rover will require different items checked and/or replaced on the service. We are increasingly finding some independent garages are only replacing commonly known filters i.e. oil and pollen filters, there are more specialist filters required to maintain your Land Rover i.e. Crankcase Filter, Turbo vent Filter and ACE filter.
All vehicles serviced by us will be logged directly with Land Rover on their Online Service Records, this enables you to check your own service history (only applicable to vehicles that have OSH (online service records) from 2013 onwards).
We provide fixed price servicing on all Land Rover Models so when you enquire about your service we will require the age and approximate mileage to accurately quote you on your service, and we will advise you what will be replaced on your vehicle.
A big part of a service is the inspection of various components. Details of parts that need to be replaced urgently (if any) will be advised to customers for their agreement to proceed, before the work is done. However, there may be components that are part-worn and still usable, which will need to be checked before the next service. These will be itemised on a vehicle report.
